NFL Draft : Adrian Peterson, Saints closing in on deal

‪‪New Orleans Saints‬
Adrian Peterson could soon be taking up a new residence in New Orleans.
The free agent and longtime Vikings running back is "closing in" on a deal with the Saints that would pay him at least $3 million in 2017,NFL Media reported Monday.
While an official contract has yet to be signed, the report indicates that negotiations are "moving in that direction." Should an agreement be reached, it's interesting to note that the Saints are scheduled to visit the Vikings in the league's opening "Monday Night Football" matchup in Week 1.

Peterson, who turned 32 last month, has led the NFL in rushing three times but his production has recently declined due to his age and a number of knee injuries. He was limited to just 72 rushing yards in three games in his final year with the Vikings last season before being released by Minnesota on March 9.
Still, coach Sean Payton and the Saints remain interested in adding Peterson to the roster to complement Mark Ingram in the backfield. Peterson had also drawn interest from the Seahawks and Patriots earlier this offseason, though New Orleans appears ready to make the move official.

Clinton says false stories on Facebook helped Trump win election

Hillary Clinton on Wednesday said hoaxes and false news stories on Facebook contributed to her loss in last year's U.S. presidential election, adding to a list of factors she blames for her defeat. The former Democratic candidate said earlier this month that interference by Russian hackers and then-FBI director James Comey helped tip the election to Republican President Donald Trump. Speaking at a technology conference near Los Angeles, Clinton on Wednesday mentioned Facebook by name and said that fake stories spread on the social network influenced the information that people relied on. "The other side was using content that was just flat-out false and delivering it in a very personalized way, both sort of above the radar screen and below," Clinton said during an on-stage interview at the Code conference. A representative for Facebook could not immediately be reached for comment. Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg said just after the November e...

Whatever went on behind the closed doors of Trump/Putin conference, it clearly didn’t just stretch out longer than expected, it went in a direction that deeply worried the other members of team Trump. How badly was it out of control? This bad, Hey, this is going so well that we should really send his wife in there to see if she can stop it … is a thing no one ever said. Just what was it that set off the “go find Melania” alarm? According to Tillerson, Trump did talk to Putin about hacking of the US election  … but Trump and Putin agreed that this subject was “a hindrance” to US/Russian relations. So,  according to Lavrov , Trump accepted Putin’s statements that Russia had not been involved. Tillerson says that Trump made no effort  to produce evidence  supporting Russian hacking. In fact, he did the opposite.  According to Lavrov,  “ Trump told Putin that some circles in the US are exaggerating the topic of Russian cyber me...
